Explore our industrial products engineered with precision tolerances and superior metallurgy.
In modern fluid connection networks, standard worm-gear clamps are increasingly proving inadequate for applications experiencing high thermal fluctuation, intense vibration, and severe structural loads. The design evolution of ear clamps—specifically Stepless® single-ear clamps—represents a paradigm shift in mechanical seal integrity.
By designing a localized "ear" gap that is mechanically crimped, these fasteners exert constant radial tension. As hose materials undergo thermal expansion or cold-flow compression, the ear acts as a dynamic spring mechanism, continuously absorbing changes in physical outer dimensions to prevent leakage path development.
For global OEMs, procuring high-integrity clamps is no longer a commodity transaction. It is a critical risk-mitigation strategy for vital vehicle components, industrial air circuits, and high-purity chemical flowlines.
Stepless Ear Clamps: Feature a patented inner-band wrap that eliminates steps or gaps. This provides 360° of uniform radial compression, essential for soft hoses, thin-walled tubing, and plastic couplings.
Double-Ear Clamps: Provide an extended clamping range and dual-crimp elasticity. Ideal for heavy-duty metal-to-rubber connections where component shift requires a secondary spring-load tolerance.
Material Excellence: Sinsun utilizes SS304 (V2A) and SS316 (V4A) austenitic steel grades, guaranteeing tensile capacities above 1000 MPa and complete immunity to chemical degradation.

First, slide the hose over the fitting or barb. Measure the exact outer diameter (OD) of the assembled hose. Choose an ear clamp size where the middle of its clamping range is slightly larger than the measured OD. This ensures proper radial tension and allows adequate clearance during installation.
SS304 offers excellent corrosion resistance in standard industrial and automotive fluid environments. For harsh marine settings, acidic chemicals, or high-salinity applications, SS316 is highly recommended because its molybdenum content provides superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Ear clamps are designed for single-use applications. During installation, the ear of the clamp is crimped, causing the metal to undergo plastic deformation. This creates a secure, leak-proof seal. Re-crimping or attempting to open and reuse a deformed clamp weakens the metal and compromises the integrity of the connection.
For prototyping or manual field assemblies, standard mechanical side or front jaw pincer pliers are recommended. For high-volume automotive production lines, we advise using pneumatic or electronic power pincers. These tools apply consistent, pre-calibrated closing forces to prevent over-crimping and ensure seal integrity.
