Countersunk rivets are designed for applications where a flat surface is required. They sit flush with the material surface, reducing aerodynamic drag or allowing other parts to slide over them smoothly without interference.
"Pop rivet" is a brand name that has become synonymous with "blind rivet." They both refer to fasteners that can be installed from only one side of the structure (a "blind" application), making them ideal for tubing, closed containers, or restricted access areas.
Large flange rivets feature an oversized washer-like head. This design distributes the clamping force over a wider surface area, preventing soft, brittle, or thin materials (like plastics, fiberglass, or wood) from tearing or cracking during installation.
Peel rivets split into four separate petals on the blind side during installation. This mechanism creates a broad bearing surface that grips soft or thin materials securely without pulling through or damaging the substrate.
